The Barry Sheene memorial Trophy jamie whitham & mark both did really well on Ian Garbutt's Matchless G50 (Ripley Land)jamie started off on the first friday untimed practise and had a quick crash coming out of the chacain 2nd lap so i guess a cold tyre but this left no track time for mark and having never seen the place before things where looking bad!, so after repairs duck tape and cable ties it was on to timed practise with mark posting 1.37 and jamie on a quick one at 1.31 good for third, race day was hot and windy and the boys performed with jamie doing the first le-mans start and first 12 mins he was holding on to third so the pressaure was on mark at the rider change over but all went well and mark held on to third at the flag!
